Turning scars into stories, and stories into strength.
To say my life up until now has been nothing but a vicious cycle of chaos and turmoil would be an understatement. I’ve carried pain that I’ve always wanted to forget, shoving it to the back of my mind or drowning it out with bad habits and learnt behaviours. I’ve endured trauma and obstacles that I’ve long wanted to share, but fear and embarrassment kept me silent. Until now. Not because I have life figured out, honestly, who does? But because I finally have hope. Hope that, against all odds, I can make something of myself. Hope that I can rewrite my story into one of healing, growth, and purpose. And maybe, just maybe, by sharing my journey, I can inspire someone else who feels stuck in their own cycle, to believe that change is in fact possible.
Welcome to Growing Pains. This is a safe space without judgment, where honesty is valued and vulnerability is celebrated. Here, you can show up exactly as you are, messy, healing, hurting, or hopeful, and know you’re not alone. My hope is that this blog becomes a place where we can share, learn, and grow together, one step at a time.
I’m starting this blog now because, at the ripe age of 30, I finally see that there might be light at the end of the tunnel. I want to help others who can relate and grow together along the way. For years, I’ve battled imposter syndrome, tangled up with a victim-complex view of life. I blamed the way I am on people who didn’t deserve it. But now, I want to take accountability for my own mistakes, work on rewiring my brain, and find happiness within myself, so I can project that positivity onto others. I know I’m made for better things. We all are. Sometimes we just need a helping hand, a reminder that we’re not alone. My hope is that by sharing my story, I can inspire someone to hold onto life a little longer, take a risk, share their own story, and celebrate their wins, no matter how small.
I’ve spent my whole life chasing stability, wearing masks to hide who I really was, and fighting battles I never asked for, and often wasn’t equipped to win. In 2025, I finally had names for some of the chaos inside me: EUPD (borderline personality disorder), C-PTSD (Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), and Combined ADHD. I was failed by the system and betrayed by people who were meant to love me, leaving me in a constant tug-of-war with myself, my relationships, and anything that looked like commitment. But I’m done carrying that weight. I’m ready to let go, to rewrite my story, and to see what life looks like when I stop surviving and start living. And if any of this feels familiar to you, I’d love for you to come along for the ride.
In the weeks ahead, I’ll be writing about my experiences with mental health, relationships, self-growth, and the small daily changes that are helping me heal. Some posts will be deeply personal, others will share practical tools and reflections, but one thing is for certain, all will be honest.
If any part of my story resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you in the comments or through a message. I promise, you are not alone.
Thank you for being here, for reading my words, and for holding space for my story. I hope you feel comfortable to share your stories, healing tips, and advice with me too 😊
